BIO

Owen Hans is an American composer born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where he began composing music at age 13 with a background in classical trumpet, piano, and mainly tuba.

Owen has mainly written for wind instruments and marching bands, writing several award-winning shows for Northern Nash High School in his hometown. 

​

Owen has had his music performed in 9 countries, as well as had a world premier performance by the East Carolina University Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

​

Owen's music and source of creativity are influenced by his love for video games, romantic era music, and nature. His study and love of film and game music often find itself interwoven into the fabric of his compositions.

In his free time, Owen enjoys rock climbing.
